EMT v3.0 is here!
From 1 April 2020 (Wednesday) you can produce, manage, and publish EMTs in versions 1.0 and 3.0 on our Digital Platform.
Why are we making Kneip EMT v3.0 ready?
At the end of last year, FinDatEx endorsed the next version of the European MiFID Template (EMT). It includes new sections and fields, value changes to existing fields, and other requirement updates. Fund manufacturers need to start providing v3.0 EMTs to their distributors and data providers while managing both versions in parallel until the end of the transition period on 10 December 2020.

You can already produce and disseminate EMTs on our Digital Platform. In this upgrade we’re not just adding a new EMT v3.0 functionality. It’s a full solution for producing, managing, and publishing your EMTs in whichever version and format required by data vendors, distributors or any other destinations.
- We’re making it easy to upgrade your EMTs. Just import your EMT v1.0 data and see what fields are missing and what values are no longer valid. If you’re one of our existing EMT production clients, the new section automatically populates with your existing data, so no need to do the work twice.
- We’re also taking the hassle out of managing both versions. With Kneip all your EMT data is on one platform. In a few clicks you can start producing v1.0 or v3.0 EMTs in whichever format you need. Field value changes in one version automatically transfer to the other (if they’re the same field) so you only need to focus on the differences.
- We’re showing you what each vendor requires. As the end of the transition period approaches, more vendors and distributors will start requesting v3.0 EMTs. Kneip shows the exact version requirement for each active vendor and distributor, and we’ll automatically send the relevant EMT version to them.
